R.I.P Morgan Sparrow

It is with great sadness that I inform you that the IRC rider, Morgan Sparrow, involved in the accident on Thursday night passed away this morning. It was an unfortunate freak accident that could have taken place at any stage while out riding. May he rest in peace.

Our thoughts will be with his girlfriend, family, friends and teammates. Also I would like to thank all those that attended to Morgan at the scene it is good to know that he was in the best capable hands.

Due to this unfortunate incident the race scheduled for next Thursday night will be cancelled.

For those of us long enough in the club it is exactly 8 years to the day that our very own Brian Lennon passed away after a training spin so St Tiernans CC is only to well aware of the sadness that will be felt by his friends, club and teammates.

I hope to see you next week for a bike ride in the meantime please be safe.
