Becoming A3 National Team Champions in Blarney
On Sunday, August 17, 2014, seven riders took to the start line in Tower, Blarney, Co Cork for the hotly-contested A3 National Championship race.
The course was nine laps up Kerry Road’s brutal climb, finishing at the summit after 95k of racing. Supported by Dermot and William Doherty, Martin Vereker finished fourth, despite two crashes, Richie Gallagher got up for ninth, despite his own dramas, and John McGettigan ensured the team win with 25th.
Here’s a little of the action, a day we’re kind of proud of.
