Weekend Roundup

This weekend saw an extremely active weekend for the club with a number of members taking part in a number of events and races around the country.
Martin Vereker continued to ride strong and taking 2nd in the South East Road Club GP on Sunday only losing to first by a wheel length. You can view photos from the event on the SERC Website

Rob Kelly, Joe Flynn, Richie Gallagher and Co. completed their Mizen to Malin 4 day cycle on Saturday as they raised fund for the Red Door School for autistic children. View the full details of their event

Tour of Kilkenny – big group down for this event on a very gloomy and rain soaked Saturday. Paula Thomas, Adrienne Egan, Catherine Devine and Katy Dempsey completed the 70km while Colm Tobin, Darragh O’Toole and Dave Comiskey the 110km route. Colm and Darragh took the first and third certificates for the 110 event. completing the event in 3 hours 45 minutes. Following Rob Kelly’s annihilation of the 160km Tour of Meath two weeks ago hopefully we’ll see more of this in the upcoming sportives.
