ICL: Murray wins on Sally Gap

INTER-CLUB League headed to Sally Gap on Thursday night last and it proved a mountain of victory for the purple jersey.

In a handicap, Limit Rider Colly Murray reached the summit first, followed by team mate Darren Guy and Rob Baer back in fourth.

Murray attributed much of his glory to tall-man Guy, who mistakenly took up the role of domestique early on the incline.

Murray said: “Thanks for taking the brunt of that easterly on the early part of that climb Darren Guy – meant I could keep a few watts for the finale.”
