Ex-Tiernan’s rider Duff adds €1,100 prize to Junior Tour pot
AIDAN DUFF, the 1994 Junior Tour winner who began his career with St Tiernan’s Cycling Club, has donated a €1,100 bike to Sunday’s Junior Tour Trust draw.
The former international is now the representative of Focus Bikes in Ireland and has joined forces with BikeWorx in Celbridge to offer a Focus Culebro 3 to one lucky draw winner at this weekend’s Junior Tour Trust Sportive.
The event, starting and finishing at Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, is part of a nationwide drive to raise funds for the running of the Junior Tour of Ireland, after surpluses accumulated in boom times began to run dry at the end of last year.
Duff made the donation to highlight the importance of the international stage race in his development as a cyclist; after winning it for Bray Wheelers, he represented Ireland at home and abroad.
Further events will take place in Bellaghy, Co Derry, on Saturday, February 7, and Whitegate, Co Clare, on Saturday, February 28.

You can pre-enter next Sunday’s sportive and automatically enter the draw for the bike there.
